This is an exceptional opportunity for an appointment to a Data Manager focused clinical trials coordinator role in the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe, and an international leader in cancer research and development. We are one of the leading centres in the UK for clinical trials and radiotherapy research.
In order to support our growth as a centre of excellence in research, we are looking to recruit a Band 4 data manager focussed clinical trial coordinator to support our existing research staff.
You will be based in the Experimental Cancer Medicine research team. This team supports a large number of commercial and academic Phase 1 trials. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual who will be responsible for assisting the research nurses, consultants and trial coordination management team with various aspects of data management including completing case report forms as per sponsor requirements, and liaising with clinical trial monitors to ensure the data sent is valid and their requirements are met at site monitoring visits.
The data manager will cross check, confirm data and complete query resolution with sponsors and third parties in a timely manner; and complete clinical trial specific databases with data from various sources such as questionnaires, hospital records and other electronic and paper sources.
Applicants should have a diploma or administration experience. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge of the clinical trials process, and be IT literate with previous experience of administrative work, including data management within a health care setting. We are looking for a candidate with good organisation and communication skills; who can work well both in a team and using their own initiative.
