If you believe that nursing is about making a real difference to patients’ lives then clinical research can provide a stimulating and rewarding career pathway for you.
As a clinical research nurse you will have opportunities to further your knowledge and understanding of both research and cancer care spending quality time with patients, providing new treatments, supporting them through this and collecting vital evidence so we can meet the challenges of the future by improving treatments for cancer patients.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, and treats more than 44,000 patients a year. We are seeking to recruit a full time Band 5 Clinical Research Nurse for the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The CRF incorporates long-stay (accommodation for inpatients) and short-stay (day-case) patients taking part in clinical research, as well as an outpatient clinic area. The CRF is a fast paced environment, working to implement changes to standard treatments, resulting in improved outcomes for patients.
