We currently have a vacancy for a motivated and enthusiastic Electronics/Electrical Engineer to join our well-established Medical Engineering department.
You will be part of a successful team providing a full range of medical equipment maintenance activities and clinical / technical support. You should be organised, professional, able to work under pressure and behave in a way that meets the Trusts values.
We are a large department providing a Medical Equipment Management Service on two separate Hospital sites and we are able to offer a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. The roles will offer successful applicants the experience of working on equipment which is at the forefront of medical technology, whilst also becoming a member of a dedicated Healthcare Team within a caring environment.
The ideal candidates will be qualified to the following levels (or equivalent) in an Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Clinical/Medical Engineering: NVQ4/5 (HND or Foundation / Degree).
Any experience in equipment maintenance of complex electronic equipment will also be taken into consideration.
An understanding of the modern healthcare environment with its developments and challenges would be an advantage.
Applicants with lesser qualifications or experience in this field may be considered for appointment at a lower grade.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
